Red Bull Racing and Sebastian Vettel are world champions

Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull racing have achieved the ultimate in Formula 1 racing and motor sport in general by claiming the Constructor’s World Championship at Sao Paolo, Brazil last week and the Driver’s World Championship earlier today at the Yas Marina race track in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Fernando Alonso was the clear favourite to win the driver’s championship, however a safety car, poor pitstop strategies and a pair of Renault cars scuppered his chances and those of Mark Webber’s. Vettel against the odds kept all others at bay and flew home, nursing his Red Bull car lovingly dubbed Luscious Liz.

Vettel is now the youngest F1 champion in history and is a greatly deserving of the honour. His cheery attitude and amazing skill behind the wheel have been a breath of fresh air to this season and I’m sure there will be more great things to come for Vettel, who despite already being champion is still in the early stages of his career.

Again, congratulations to Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull racing. Bring on the 2011 season in Bahrain!
